Description: Pleotelson with numerous posterior simple setae. Antennule with inner flagellum of 6 articles, peduncle article 1 lacking ventral spiniform setae, articles 3–4 of outer flagellum with 5 aesthetascs each. Antennal peduncle with article 3 bearing 1 plumose seta on inner margin, article 4 without broom setae; flagellum with 6 articles, articles 2–3 with several simple setae on outer margin. Mandibular palp with terminal naked spiniform seta. Male cheliped basis with 1 spiniform seta and 1 simple seta on ventrodistal margin, cutting edge of dactylus with 6 setae distal to proximal tooth, cutting edge of pollex with rounded tooth near dactylus insertion, elongated proximal tooth & 4 tubercles interspersed with simple setae proximal to unguis. Exopodite of cheliped & P1 with 3 plumose setae. P4–5 dactylus with 5 sensory setae. P4 propodus bearing short bipinnate setae on surfaces. P6 dactylus shorter than carpus and propodus combined, with 1 subterminal seta.
Biological association: None.
Remarks: First distributional record of the genus Kalliapseudes Stebbing, 1910 from Indian EEZ.
Distribution: Southeastern Arabian Sea. Depth range: 32–108.8 m.
