Description: Carapace inflated, simple long setae on carapace and appendages, slender pseudo-rostral spines separated by a U-shaped base, slender arched dactylus of cheliped with maximum elevation at proximal part bearing broadly circular depressions with sparse setae; pereiopod 4 thumb bearing 3 subdistal spines, 4 spines opposing dactylus, pereiopod 5 thumb bearing 2 subdistal spines, 7 spines opposing dactylus.

Biological association: None.

Remarks: First distributional record of the genus Homolodromia A. Milne-Edwards, 1880 from the Northern Indian Ocean.

Distribution: Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. Depth range: 645–957 m.
